Vita Center would like to become a community of learning where positive relationships and one-to-one interactions unlock the best potential in every woman, child and family. We want to open doors, and create opportunities for emotional and social growth as well in our community of New York. We know that mental health has a strong correlation with emotional social health therefore we are presenting to you this event!
After our first Let's Talk: Mental Health event, the feedback we received was to continue to give this event as it is an important topic that is not discussed as often as it needs to be. Vita Center, Inc., will continue to periodically host this event and reach out to those in the community who are in need. Join us as we will be shining light on any stigma against mental health, and we will be bringing awareness, and understanding on symptoms of anxiety, depression, and ways to overcome with mindset, wellness, and perspective!
Some of the topics we will be discussing include the following:
- What are some of the signs someone has when they have a mental illness
- Discuss what a healthy support system looks like
- LMHC Diandra Rodriguez will present tools and skills that can be useful for those stressful situations we all face as well as providing us with more knowledge in how we can help ourselves or anyone we know dealing with a mental health disorder.
- Provide free resources NYC has to offer to receive help.
